About the presenter

Dr. Shyam Barr is a Canberra-based educator with over 15 years of experience as everything from a secondary school science teacher to an educational leader and consultant. He holds multiple educational degrees, including a Ph.D., with his research focused on enhancing teachers' approaches to self-regulated learning. Shyam has received numerous accolades for his work, including the largest prize at the University of Canberra Big Research Pitch Competition and a Distinction in Engagement and Impact. Presently, he's partnering with organisations to revamp professional learning models, supporting innovative teachers, and guiding individuals on the science of learning.
