In this course, primary and secondary teachers will gain practical lesson ideas that align with the revised curriculum, helping students develop critical, creative, and reflective thinking skills through the use of digital tools. You will leave with a wealth of strategies & resources to enhance your teaching and bring the latest syllabus updates to life in your classroom.

If you are a teacher in another state of Australia, the practical strategies will still hold relevance for your teaching of Science and Technology. This course contributes to the NSW Digital Skills and Workforce Compact. The Compact is a nation-leading partnership between the NSW Government, the digital industry, and education and training sectors. This collaboration leverages a collective impact approach to effectively address projected digital workforce shortages in NSW. This course supports Project 5: Establish a Digital Industry-Education forum.

  • Develop a greater understanding of the new NSW Science and Technology Syllabus and how to integrate the digital technologies component with the three ways of thinking: Design Thinking, Systems Thinking and Computational Thinking
