About this course

Our understanding about how students learn has greatly evolved even in the last 10 years. The major shift is from more about the learning and less about the teaching.

We no longer ask ourselves what are we going to teach but more what are the students going to learn and how best can we achieve this.

This course will develop a greater understanding about
  • The need for greater clarity around the learning
  • The power of formative assessment in the learning process
  • The need to differentiate and personalise the learning

You will learn:

  • To help participants stay abreast of latest teaching techniques, thinking and strategies.
  • To address the challenges of returning to education after a break from teaching.
  • To collaborate with fellow participants regarding up to date teaching practice and to be given the opportunity to ask questions in order to address any concerns.
Course Duration: 2 Hours

Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:
 2.6, 7.2

NESA: Returning to the Teaching and Education World may be logged as 2 hours of NESA Elective PD. Suggested descriptors: 2.6.2, 7.2.2
