About this course

This is a short course jam packed with information on how you can implement practices in your early learning centre that promote sustainability and help children learn how to better care for their environment. The activities recommended are age appropriate for 3 to 8-year-olds and are designed to instil in children a responsibility and build agency surrounding the importance of being active global citizens.

This course will help you will grow your teaching toolbox with picture book ideas, activities for nature-based play, games and music using recycled materials and other resources you can explore to find what will work for your educational community.  

You will:

  • Understand the importance of instilling in children an appreciation for their natural world and to empower children to become active and responsible global citizens who impact the world in a positive way
  • Build a repertoire of ideas and activities that can be used to promote sustainable practices and teach children how to better care for their environment
