About this course

The course will not only provide theory but specific intervention practices that can be utilised upon course completion. The course will continue to examine the impact deficits in working memory have on learning and reading and provide intervention practices for utilisation in both the mainstream and learning support environment.

This course will outline Working Memory Theory, Working Memory Deficits and its impact on learning and reading, and Working Memory Deficits and intervention practices for mainstream and learning support environments.

You will learn:

  • To develop awareness about Working Memory
  • To understand the relationship between Working Memory and student learning
  • To develop strategies that can be implemented to effectively assist students with poor Working Memory
