This topical course gives teachers a deeper understanding of STEM and the benefits to be had from teaching it in the classroom. You can expect to build your knowledge of the pedagogical approaches and teaching strategies that align with the teaching of STEM, and gain a toolkit of activities and lesson ideas you can use in stage 2 or 3 classrooms.

About the presenter

Catherine Newington is a Victoria-based former educator and ICT Educators’ Specialist with ACS (the Australian Computer Society). In her role she leads a program supporting the implimentation of the Digital Technologies Curriculum in schools across Australia. Catherine is an expert at creating lesson plans and classroom resources that promote a greater understanding of STEM.
