About the Challenge

Plugged In is a 6-week teacher challenge and transformative professional learning campaign designed to build confidence in delivering the Digital Technologies curriculum, with a strong alignment to the NSW Science and Technology Syllabus.

For NSW teachers, the challenge supports preparation for the updated syllabus, which will be mandatory to teach from 2027. Educators from all states are welcome and will find practical, relevant learning throughout.

Plugged In is brought to you by ClassCover Learn, in partnership with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and Code for Schools.

Catherine Newington is a Victoria-based former educator and ICT Educators’ Specialist with ACS (the Australian Computer Society). In her role she leads a program supporting the implementation of the Digital Technologies Curriculum in schools across Australia. Catherine is an expert at creating lesson plans and classroom resources that promote a greater understanding of STEM.

Toan Huynh
Director, Teaching and Learning

Toan Huynh is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Code for Schools. Previously he was the Head of Computer Science and a 7 - 12 secondary teacher at Haileybury Senior College, and the John Monash Science School in Victoria. Prior to his career in education, Toan worked for over a decade in big tech, including working in the US at Microsoft, Xbox and eBay.
