What is ClassCover Learn?

ClassCover Learn is an online professional development platform for Australian educators, with 200+ hours of self-paced courses aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. It's part of ClassCover, the platform schools and teachers use for casual relief bookings and teaching jobs. Since 2015, teachers have enrolled in ClassCover Learn courses more than 550,000 times.

Who is ClassCover Learn for?

ClassCover Learn is for every educator: classroom teachers, casual relief teachers and early childhood educators, with courses from early childhood through to secondary. A handful of courses are made especially for casual relief teachers, and most suit any classroom.

How much does ClassCover Learn cost?

ClassCover Learn costs $99 a year for unlimited access to every course, including new courses as they're added. That's less than 50 cents per hour of PD. Membership is an annual subscription, and you can cancel anytime from your account.

Is teacher PD tax deductible?

PD that relates to your current teaching role is generally claimable as a work-related tax deduction in Australia, and that includes a ClassCover Learn membership. Download your receipt from your account at tax time, and check with your tax adviser about your own situation.

Does online PD count towards teacher registration?

Yes. Online PD can count towards teacher registration in every Australian state, and every ClassCover Learn course is aligned to the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. In NSW, ClassCover Learn is a NESA approved PD provider. Each state sets its own hours and rules.

How do I log my NESA PD hours?

At the end of each ClassCover Learn course that counts towards NESA hours, you fill in a short form and we log the hours for you. They can take up to 30 days to appear in your NESA account.

Is ClassCover Learn online and self-paced?

Yes. Every ClassCover Learn course is online and self-paced, so you can learn on your laptop or phone whenever it suits you. Start a course, pause it and pick it up again later.

Do I need a ClassCover profile to use ClassCover Learn?

Yes, and it's free. You sign in to ClassCover Learn with a ClassCover teacher profile, which takes a couple of minutes to set up. Not doing casual work? Switch bookings off and use your profile just for PD and jobs.

Can schools buy PD for their whole staff?

Yes. Schools with 10 or more staff get discounted ClassCover Learn licences, plus a dashboard to manage access and see progress and reports for every teacher.

New ClassCover Learn courses are added regularly, and they're all included in your membership at no extra cost.
